The steering tie rods attach to the steering rack by threads and large jam nuts. Hi can you explaine a bit more the modification you done to you stering rack? and tie rod in. I believe that once you start bolting parts together, you will see how the K-H caliper attaches to the A2 hub carrier. Since the A2 donor car used 9.4 inch solid rotors and Kelsey-Hays calipers, I just bolted my K-H calipers to the A2 'integrated' caliper mounting bracket. The A2 hub carrier that I used have an 'integrated' caliper mounting bracket whereas the A1 hub carrier uses a 'bolt-on' caliper mounting bracket. However the A2 hub fits the splines of the A1 outer CV joint and everything bolted together OK.

The advantage of the A2 hub carrier is the much larger front wheel bearing.

The A2 hub carrier that I used came from a basic A2 Golf with factory solid rotors.

but we are obligated to use 9,4 in disque, carier and spindell are 1 piece!. And how can you swith brake size, we know that spindell for mk2 ( before 88) have the same size ball joint so it a direct fit to mk1 ball joint.
